Wish List

So basically this is a list of things I want to buy myself.

  1. Espresso cups – Since buying a Nespresso, I want to see all that beautiful crema. 3384_4_mediamain2. Teil Duncan print – I have wanted one of her beach or cow prints for a long time. I don’t know why I won’t just buy it already.ccac4d569717d512aafef5df55a2cf67
  2. Essential oil diffuser – This is kind of dumb but I want one nonetheless.
  3. Janet Hill “Miss Moon: Wise Words from a Dog Governess” – I am obsessed with her paintings and of course love the Miss Moon series with dogs, which are all compiled in a lovely story book. 9781101917930
  4. Revitalash – the eyelash extensions didn’t work for me because I can’t stop pulling on them, but I loved having longer darker lashes (who doesn’t?).
  5. I also want a puppy and a pony because I’m a 10 year old white girl.    721e1bd405aea975679b123dd401ff28       welsh-mt-palomino-mare

Blonde Beauty

I have a hair appointment tomorrow morning and I cannot wait to be blonde again. This short stint being a brunette was fun for a hot minute, but like most things shiny and new…it faded quick. Literally. The color right now is a coppery hot mess of grossness. I hate it.

I have been getting BirchBox for quite a while now. Every time I think it is starting to suck and consider canceling, they hit me with a good box. Tricky little minx.

The Amika Nourishing Hair Mask is really really good. I haven’t tried a lot of fancy hair masks, but this one is definitely the best of any I’ve received in my BirchBox or tried over the counter (aka drugstore brands). It smells amaze and my hair felt great and truly healthier after using. Win.

I, personally, really liked this tinted “all-in-one” moisturizer by Mereadesso. Supposedly it acts as a moisturizer, primer, serum, and eye cream. Plus it is tinted so that is an added bonus to even skin tone. I just really liked the consistency and how it felt on my skin. I can’t say it offered a ton of coverage, but enough for errands and to avoid looking homeless.

A friend of mine is selling Beauty Counter products and she sent me a bunch of samples. Two of the products are so so good. First, the Lustro Face Oil 2. I legit want all of the oils. I’ve had some cheap face & hair oils and they definitely do not have the same consistency nor absorption as good ones. This one smells good and absorbs perfectly.

Second, the Nourishing Cleansing Balm is one of the best products ever, particularly if you have dry skin. It seems strange at first, but it literally melts into your skin while removing dirt and makeup, and then your skin feels so supple and hydrated.

If you are feeling mature and wanting to invest in your skin, these are great products and a great line in general. My wrinkly old face needs all the love it can get.

I’m sure I’ll share my blonde roots tomorrow on insta (oxymoron…?)

Hope none of you were injured trying to procure some #LillyforTarget!

I Heart Florals

I go through phases with Asos where I will not browse the site for months, and then, like now, I’m checking the new arrivals daily. There are some pretty gorgeous floral print dresses available right now and I only wish I had numerous reasons to wear them. Or to wear a dress in general. Or heels. Or makeup. #smalltownmomlife

IRREGARDLESS, I have picked my faves below.

floral dresses asosSo many gorgeous prints and silhouettes. Liz is wearing the bottom left dress on her blog today and it is super cute, le duh. I actually ordered the navy one because it seemed versatile and casual enough to get some real wear out of it, and I love this style dress in general. Makes me think of Strawberry Wine.

One cup

My doctor said two large cups of black coffee is about the recommended amount of daily caffeine for a preggo. I was so happy to not cut out my morning cup altogether. And today, one cup just isn’t enough. I have been up a couple hours and already dealing with nerve pain and heartburn and dog vomit. Awesome!

One thing making my morning truly awesome is that Meredith has blogged my maternity photos! It is hard to choose a favorite. If you didn’t buy this blue maxi from TJMaxx then I am sorry. It is so fabulous and only $25. My mom just happened to see it a few days before the shoot and I am so glad she did!

I am SO trying to avoid the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Y’all aren’t making it very easy with every blog out there highlighting your wishlist. Part of me wants to make a wish list too. Then part of me wants to shut my computer down immediately. I’m getting ready to order my glider for the nursery so there goes any available fun funds anyway. Blegh.

I am going to go wash dishes and maybe fix pancakes.

Goings on

I love a random post…so here’s to another.

I just love this little family pic of us (minus my thunder thighs of course). It basically sums up what we do with our free time.

Madewell is my go-to for tshirts. I know that sounds kind of dumb, but their tshirts are the best ever, specifically the Slub V-Neck pocket tee. I have four with two more on the way thanks to their big 40% off sale items promo…that ended yesterday. Whoops. I am not one for duplicates, so they must be amazing. I also splurged a little and ordered their classic Transport Tote in navy. I have been wanting the perfect tote for a long time and I’m hoping this one fits the bill. Also hoping it might can serve as a diaper bag as well.

If you follow on instagram, then you saw that delicious focaccia bread I made yesterday. It is sooooo good I can’t even describe. I used this recipe but decided to ex-nay the tomatoes. It was easy enough and just a little time consuming since you have to wait for the bread to rise two different times, but totally worth it.

When did cereal get so expensive?

H&M Online

First Zara and now H&M! Finally e-commerce has happened for us here in the USofA. I will say I was not overcome with online shopping euphoria when browsing the site. Hopefully there will be more selection in the future. Am I alone with this thought? Regardless, my add to cart looks like this…

HandMI definitely love the mixed media look we started seeing a lot last fall, and I want to pull the trigger this year. This shape is one of my favorites for coats.

The jumpsuit makes me think of Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface, but I find it appealing nonetheless.

I love anything with a dog printed on it. Unless it is a pug. Sorry pug lovers.

Tortoise pointed pumps, yes please.

Followed by some classic, comfy pieces in my favorite daring colors…white & gray.

Sidenote: I finished up Orange is the New Black today. Who else is watching? What say you?
